Decade Trust
The Decade Trust was launched in 2008 to mark The Listening Company’s 10 year anniversary. It consolidates all of our regional charity commitments under one centralised scheme.
The initiative was established to give our people opportunities to participate in fundraising activities and enhance their social skills. It enables them to give something back to their local communities and work on projects that differ from their day-to-day responsibilities.
Strathmore School – Richmond
A special day school for children with complex learning difficulties and other physical and sensory disabilities.
Children North East – Newcastle
The oldest children’s charity in North East England runs a number of projects including Families Plus and Fathers Plus, where support is given to individuals raising children.
The Elizabeth Foundation – Portsmouth
A national charity that supports babies, toddlers and preschoolers with hearing difficulties. Currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Foundation has state of the art facilities including an acoustically designed music room and a recently established Baby Early Intervention Unit.
Hospice in the Weald – Tonbridge
Hospice in the Weald provides specialist palliative care advice and clinical support for people with life limiting illness, their families and the bereaved.
The Christie Foundation – Manchester
As one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, The Christie Foundation treats over 40,000 patients a year – funding projects that are outside the scope of the NHS.
Maggie’s Centre – Glasgow
The centre provides a comprehensive cancer support programme for people and their families, offering information, benefits advice and psychological support to individuals and groups.
The Young Karers East Sutherland – Brora
An independent charity that supports young carers of family members with a range of afflictions – be it autism, drug abuse or cancer.
Kidscape – Westminster
Kidscape works UK-wide to provide individuals and organisations with practical skills and resources necessary to keep children safe from harm.
Latch – Cardiff
Charitable organisation based at the Children’s Hospital for Wales that supports cancer sufferers and their families.
Sussex Air Ambulance – West Sussex
An independent aid organisation that delivers swift medical aid to accident scenes and transports casualties to local hospitals.
